1. Introduction
These Warranty Terms and Conditions (“Warranty”) are issued by the vendors and suppliers engaged by Dot & Line Construction Pte Ltd (“the Company”) to the Client for renovation works executed under the corresponding renovation contract. This Warranty outlines the scope of coverage, duration, limitations, and procedures for addressing defects due to workmanship or installation faults. The Company reserves the right to amend these terms without prior notice, but no changes shall affect works completed before the amendment date.
The Company acts solely as a facilitator and is not the warranty provider. Final decisions regarding repair, replacement, or rejection of claims rest solely with the vendors and suppliers. The Company shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience suffered by the Client should the vendors or suppliers decline to repair or replace the defective item on the grounds that the issue is not covered under their warranty terms.
The Company will assist the Client in submitting warranty claims to the relevant vendors and suppliers for any covered manufacturing defects.
2. Warranty Coverage
The Company warrants that all renovation works are performed in a professional manner and shall be free from installation or workmanship-related defects under normal use and maintenance. Coverage varies by property type as detailed below:

2.1 Residential Properties

Important Residential Notes:
- All renovation works are to comply with HDB Renovation Guidelines and BCA Regulations.
- Client’s tampering, hacking, or improper use will void the affected scope’s warranty.
- Carpentry warranty only applies to pieces ≤ 7 feet in length.
- Tiling claims are valid only for surface variation > 0.5mm not caused by factory differences.
- Paint warranty applies only if sealer is applied prior to topcoat.
- Glass shower screens and float/tempered glass installations are not covered due to inherent risk of spontaneous shattering. Laminated glass or safety film is recommended.
2.2 Commercial Properties

Important Commercial Notes:
- Warranty excludes business interruption, loss of revenue, or equipment downtime.
- Misuse or overuse beyond original intent voids relevant scopes.
- No coverage for carpentry panels >7 feet in length.
- Glass shower screens and float/tempered glass installations are not covered due to inherent risk of spontaneous shattering. Laminated glass or safety film is recommended.
3. General Warranty Conditions
- The warranty applies only to the original Client and is non-transferable.
- Warranty periods commence from the date of project handover.
- All materials must be supplied and installed by the Company to be covered.
- The Client must maintain the works reasonably and ensure proper use.
4. Warranty Exclusions (Applicable to All Property Types)
- Damage from misuse, abuse, negligence, or improper cleaning.
- Wear and tear consistent with time and usage (e.g., surface scratches, discoloration).
- Structural settlement or building movement cracks.
- Modifications, tampering, or repairs performed by third parties.
- Damage caused by fire, flood, lightning, or other acts of God.
- Mould, mildew, or rot due to poor ventilation or external water ingress.
- Consumables (e.g., bulbs, batteries, touch-up kits).
- Items supplied by the Client or third parties.
- No warranty applies to any float glass, tempered glass, or frameless glass installation due to risk of shattering.
- For the avoidance of doubt, minor imperfections within design specifications and that do not materially alter functionality of the Product are not considered a defect under this warranty.
5. Limitation of Liability
The Company acts solely as a facilitator in the provision of materials and products sourced from third-party vendors and suppliers. The Company is not the manufacturer or direct warrantor of such products.
As such, the Company shall not be held liable for:
- Any refusal by vendors or suppliers to honor warranty claims;
- Any delays, defects, or shortcomings in the repair or replacement process handled by third parties;
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses or damages suffered by the Client arising from the use, failure, or non-replacement of such products.
All warranties for supplied materials and products are provided solely by the respective vendors and suppliers, and their terms and conditions shall apply. The Company will, as a gesture of service, assist the Client in communicating with these third parties but shall have no obligation to ensure or guarantee the outcome of any such claims.
6. Governing Law
This Warranty shall be governed by the laws of The Republic Of Singapore. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this document shall be resolved by the courts of Singapore.
